Laugh Lover's Ball was the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day. Coined as an Evening of Sophisticated Silliness it was an uproarious alternative to the typical ho-hum date night on Valentine’s Day.

LLB showcased the classier side of comedy with some of the funniest, smartest and most original comedians in the country. The result was a wonderfully sophisticated evening that left us smiling.

The Comedians:

Drew Hastings moved from Ohio to Los Angeles in the early 1990's, where he was quickly noticed by the entertainment industry. His acting talent landed him a number of guest-starring roles and he has done television pilots for some of the big networks including Fox, NBC, and HBO. He has also made many stand-up appearances on television and is one of a very elite group of comedians to have received a standing ovation on "The Tonight Show." Ironically, it wasn't until he moved back to his farm in Ohio that his career really took off. He now headlines "The Friends of the Bob and Tom Show" which tours to sold out theaters nationwide. Last year Comedy Central gave him a one hour special "Miffed and Irked" that has cemented his place in the annul of comedy history. Laugh Lover's Ball is proud to welcome this truly original comic icon. www.drewhastings.com

Tim Lee wasn't supposed to be a comedian. A biologist by training, he graduated magna cum laude from UC San Diego with honors in biology. He went on to complete his PhD at UC Davis. He spent years developing simulation and analytical models of population dynamics before he discovered that this bored him to tears. When he tried comedy for the first time the tears stopped. Tim's unique brand of comedy is clean, intelligent and riotously funny. He draws heavily on his science background to twist abstract theory into thought provoking comedy by combining stand-up with a Powerpoint presentation for a one-two punch that's hard to match. He's the perfect comic for everything from theaters and clubs to conventions and corporate events. Tim's films have screened at film festivals across the country and been broadcast internationally. He is one of the Top 100 most subscribed comedians on Youtube. He's done a commercial for the NHL starring opposite Jonathan Cheechoo. This was his Laugh Lover's Ball debut. www.comedyoftimlee.com

Dwight Slade is part man, part ageless boy; he has the privilege of being a comedy legend in American stand up. The winner of this year's Boston Comedy Festival, Slade combines an intelligent, raging voice of justice with the snickering attitude of a high school prankster. He gives the impression of a man on a journey. Who enjoys nothing more than making fun of everything along the way. Born in Seattle, Dwight moved often in his early years, living in San Mateo, California; Wilton, Connecticut; Marietta, Georgia and Houston, Texas. Slade's stand-up has gained international stature after earning a five star review from Scotland's Minister of Culture at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival and appearances at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. He followed this with a tour in Afghanistan performing for US Troops, a tour of Israel. After a stellar performance at the 2008 Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, Slade was chosen to appear on a Tonight Show feature. www.dwightslade.com

Nikki Glaser started performing stand-up comedy when she was only 18 and still attending college at the University of Kansas. Two years later, she auditioned for the fourth season of Last Comic Standing and was advanced to the semi-finals in Los Angeles. In the summer of 2007, she was invited to perform at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada. In 2009, Nikki made her first late night appearance as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. There, she had fun and stole a beer from The Office's Rainn Wilson's dressing room, but not before calling him "Dwight" on live television when she sat down on the couch next to Leno's desk. www.nikkiglasercomedy.com
